Worst Album Ever

Listening back to Mandrax Jam In A Thunderstorm now is almost like being back there at Wakki Studios, falling asleep over our instruments at 4am. Big News: Our music is being professionally distributed after 40 years as Australia's most unpopular band. Very funny to see our decades old reel-to-reel live recording of a band jam while a thunderstorm boiled outside being tagged by YouTube as "A.I. generated." As if A.I. can make music like this.  Perhaps they mean the image we used? Oh yeah, we did do a A.I. Slop Top 100 Countdown in 2024, maybe we got tagged.  We'll wait to see if our music is more popular when people believe it's A.I. or human-made.

Gen AI will change fight scenes in action movies forever. Here's a taste of what's to come. Or AI will be used to just keep recreating the same boring fight scenes over and over, but for smaller budgets. The bizarre remix music in the above clip is from Worst Album Ever band contributor Reckless Erik. 

The playlist for the 'AI Music Slop Top 100 Countdown' on our YouTube channel is now an archive of early AI Music that won't be deleted later, when AI Music has improved significantly. Listening back to AI Music we generated for this countdown now, a lot of it doesn't sound that bad at all, and often not detectable immediately as 'AI Music.' But it's often lo-fi stuff, or a bit tinny, because we didn't remix or master most of it, leaving the generations as raw as possible. While still being mostly listenable. Here's the 'AI Music Slop Top 100 Countdown'. Dive in wherever you like, of course. There's no real order of preference.  But why did we, as a band, even mess around with AI Music in the first place?
